SkySalah is published by Navpoint ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what data the app may process and why.

Summary

• SkySalah can use your location to calculate prayer times and Qibla more accurately.
• SkySalah can show ads in the Free tier. Ads are requested as non-personalized on supported platforms.
• SkySalah can import PDFs you choose (for roster/flight plan features).
• Purchases/subscriptions are processed by Google Play / Apple. We do not receive your full payment details.

Data we may process

Location

• What: Approximate and/or precise location, when you grant permission.
• Why: Prayer time calculations and Qibla accuracy on the ground.
• Where: Used on-device; may also be used to request related data (for example time zone) depending on features you use.

Device identifiers and diagnostics

• What: A stable app/device identifier generated from platform-provided device identifiers, plus limited device information used by the ads SDK.
• Why: App functionality (such as quota, support, and subscription mapping), ad delivery, fraud prevention / invalid traffic protection, and compatibility.

Advertising data (Free tier)

• What: Ad interactions and related identifiers processed by the ad network SDK.
• Why: To display ads and measure performance.
• Tracking: SkySalah does not use App Tracking Transparency and does not request cross-app tracking permission.
• Personalization: SkySalah requests non-personalized ads only.

Files you choose to import

• What: PDFs you pick or share into the app.
• Why: To parse and display/import roster/flight plan content.
• Note: The app only accesses files you explicitly select or share.

Authentication (optional)

• What: If you use biometric authentication features (Face ID / fingerprint), the app uses the system APIs.
• Why: To protect access to certain app features.
• Note: We do not receive your biometric data. Biometric matching is performed by the OS.

Purchases/subscriptions

• What: Purchase state (active subscription/entitlement).
• Why: To unlock paid features and remove ads.
• Payments: Handled by Google Play / Apple. We do not collect your card details.

Sharing

• If you use the Free tier with ads enabled, data may be shared with advertising partners (for example Google AdMob) as part of serving and measuring non-personalized ads.
• Otherwise, SkySalah does not sell your personal data.

Your choices

• You can deny or revoke permissions (location, notifications) in device settings.
• You can subscribe to remove ads from the app.

Data retention

• Settings and entitlements may be stored locally on your device.
• Third-party services (such as ad networks) may retain data according to their own policies.
